If you haven't already felt the heat kicking in across the country, we have news for you. Summer is on the way once more, and it's about to make waves. With summer, you can ditch the soups and winter warmers and say hello to an abundance of freshly delicious favourites. But, with breads, crackers and light pastries being a staple of summer, it can be hard for those with dietary intolerances, especially those who are gluten-free, to have as much love for a warm-weather diet.
Thankfully, gluten-free cooking has come a long way in the last few years, making it easier for those with dietary restrictions to enjoy summery indulgence without the potential hospital trip. We are proud, as well, to be spearheading this change in the industry with a range that is as delicious as it is gluten-free. And today, we're sharing our recipe for one of our greatest hot-weather loves: a gluten-free bruschetta made with Jomeis Fine Foods' Sweet Balsamic Reduction.

Is Bruschetta a Healthy Summer Treat?
With so many different dialogues on the market, we don't blame you for being mistaken or confused about what is good for you and what is not so good. Some people will tell you calorie counts are too high, some will tell you that bread is a big no-no, and others will tell you that fats need to be ignored. However, we're here to give you the facts. Bruschetta, when eaten in moderation (like even the best foods), provides an array of vitamins and heart-healthy fats. It's phenomenal for detoxifying and cleansing the gut due to its naturally acidic ingredients. What really makes the 'healthiness' level is the bread that you choose, and thankfully, in the case of gluten-free, you have ample choice. We always recommend a gluten-free whole-grain bread or an alternative packed with healthy seeds, as this can improve digestion and help foster a healthy gut microbiome.
Why Choose Jomeis Fine Foods Sweet Balsamic Reduction?
Our Sweet Balsamic Reduction was the first on the market and has been making waves for over twenty years. Unlike regular balsamic, it doesn't have that tangy aftertaste, which can be unpleasant and bitter (especially if you choose the wrong brand). As our Sweet Balsamic Reduction is cooked down, it's also thicker in consistency. This means no sloppy, messy summer treats. Just a Bruschetta that is delicious, nutritious and oh-so-Instagrammable.
Our Sweet Balsamic Reduction is also phenomenal for the gut. Containing prebiotic fibres and probiotic strains, it's a great food for promoting a healthy gut, aiding digestion and supporting nutrient absorption. It's a food many of us don't get enough of!
