If there's one dish that we feel like we could eat every day, it's a trusty batch of noodles. So versatile, with the right sauces, a batch of noodles can be that heart-warming, yet healthy dish that you need in your life. But they are also one of those things that can be unhealthy with the wrong combination of ingredients. That's because many sauces can be high in salt, sugar, and fats, which can harm your body in the long term.

Can noodles really be healthy?
There are so many types of noodles available. So, generally assuming all noodles are healthy is a big no-no. Some have a lot more empty calories than others, meaning you'll be eating without benefit.
However, some of them can be a great addition to any diet. Try to stick to whole-grain noodles, like soba noodles, as they provide more nutritional value. Staying away from instant noodles, which are typically filled with preservatives, can help maintain health in your gut. But not all instant noodles are bad! We specifically created our Hoodles to he a healthy and nutritional option in this market! So, be sure to read your labels.
Noodles that are healthier include soba noodles, glass noodles and homemade options. Again, try to stay clear of white flour noodles and instant noodles, as these are less satiating and less satisfying for your well-being.
Reminder! Sauce is everything as well! Healthy noodles with a typically unhealthy sauce won't have a major positive impact on your gut!
Is Chilli Good For Your Gut?
Chilli is one of those things that many people claim 'upsets' their stomachs. And while it definitely can, if you can tolerate it, we recommend getting more of it in your diet.
Due to the presence of capsicum in chilli, it's fantastic for your gut microbiome. It can promote beneficial bacteria, which help to foster great digestion and a healthier you. Though, like all things, moderation is key!
When consumed in moderation, it's not just a gut booster. It can reduce inflammation, support metabolism, increase your vitamin C intake and may help prevent certain diseases. If spice isn't to your liking, start with milder chilli or even capsicum, and then work your way up.
